Jefferson City, MO—The wait is over for Freddy’s fans in Jefferson City, MO. Today, the new Freddy’s location will swing open its doors at 2103 Missouri Boulevard to an excited public after much anticipation.
“Our Freddy’s team has been planning, training and working on this site for several years. We are very excited to open today and we look forward to being a part of the Jefferson City community for many, many years to come,” commented franchise partner Eric Cole. “Freddy’s is focused on family-friendly meals made with fresh ingredients and cooked-to-order. We will be a great match for Jefferson City.”
Freddy’s first debuted in Missouri during 2008 with the location in Joplin, MO. That location was destroyed in the 2011 tornado and the search continues for a suitable site to rebuild. In 2010, Freddy’s opened in Kansas City and Branson. The new location in Jefferson City will be quickly followed by openings in Sedalia, Springfield and Columbia; all slated to open later this year.
With a total of 26 additional Freddy’s locations set to open in 2012 around the country, the concept is quickly gaining momentum in previously uncharted areas of the country. “We appreciate the communities that welcome Freddy’s and we strive to deliver a great value for their families. Our focus is on fresh, high-quality food served in atmosphere with full-service hospitality at a quick-service pace,” remarked COO Scott Redler.
A friends and family welcome event was hosted yesterday to give the staff a dress-rehearsal. “We are ready for the rush,” said General Manager Eric Miller.
Co-founded by Scott Redler and Bill, Randy and Freddy Simon, Freddy’s opened its first location on west 21st Street in Wichita during 2002, offering a unique combination of cooked-to-order steakburgers, Chicago dogs, and other savory items along with its signature desserts prepared with premium frozen custard made fresh throughout the day in each store. Freddy’s founders operate six locations in the Wichita Metro area and two in the Kansas City market. Fifty-four franchise units serve other areas of Kansas and Oklahoma as well as Arizona, California, Colorado, Iowa, Missouri, Nebraska, Oklahoma and Texas. Freddy’s was listed as the Fifth Fastest Growing Chain Restaurant in the United States and Canada in 2010 by Chain Store Guide, a sister publication to Nation’s Restaurant News. More recently, Freddy’s was recognized by Technomics as the 5th fastest growing burger concept in the country. In the local community of the company’s founding, Freddy’s is a recipient of the 2011 Best in Business Award from the Wichita Business Journal. In 2011, Freddy’s was also named one of Entrepreneur Magazine’s Franchise 500® and #4 on the Franchise Chatter list of ‘Under the Radar Franchises’ for 2012.
