The NRO Marketing Manager will provide marketing support to restaurants that will enable them to protect the integrity of the Freddy’s Brand before, during and after the New Restaurant Opening. This position is responsible for developing and overseeing the deployment of all marketing strategy surrounding a New Restaurant Opening.

 

Specific Responsibilities

  • Work directly with the franchisee or multi-unit manager of the new restaurant before, during and after the opening to clearly outline and communicate strategy and approach.
  • Develop relationships with and gather insights from key internal stakeholders (e.g., Field Operations, Real Estate, Public Relations) to inform the planning process and strategy.
  • Manage assigned PR agency partner to ensure public relations responsibilities align and are carried out.
  • Serve as point person for various vendors/agencies related to openings.
  • Follow up with Operators after opening and provide consulting on marketing activations and redemption results.
  • Track and measure results of New Restaurant Opening sales to ensure that results are in-line with intended outcomes and business objectives.
  • Have a strong sense of initiative, be highly responsive and be able to skillfully handle multiple assignments and high-volume detail work.
  • Possess experience in project management and familiarity with marketing and event planning/implementation.
  • Ability to make quick, independent judgement decisions that take into account complex business nuances.
  • Keep abreast of industry trends and competitor analysis and make appropriate recommendations regarding communication strategy surrounding them.
  • Act as an ambassador for the brand.
  • Other duties as required.

 

Desired Skills & Proficiencies

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, or related field.
  • Five (5) years related experience in field marketing or grand opening marketing preferred.
  • Experience with managing project leads/managers across the organization.
  • Keen understanding of the principles of New Restaurant Opening marketing; track record of delivering multifaceted campaigns from strategy through execution.
  • Must possess excellent presentation and facilitation skills.
  • Strong computer skills a must, including Outlook; Excel; MS Word; database query tools; MS PowerPoint, etc.

  • Read and disseminate information from printed sources and computer screens.

  • Frequently travel by airline and/or automobile – 120+ days per year
  • Be available a variety of hours that may include evenings, nights and weekends.
