KEARNEY, Neb. – Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers in Kearney recently presented a check for $7,000 in support of the Central Nebraska Veterans Memorial.  Each Thursday throughout the summer, Freddy’s partnered with Platte River Radio and the Classic Car Collection in Kearney to host a classic car show.  Freddy’s gave back 15 percent of restaurant sales during each event to benefit the veterans memorial. Freddy’s guests also contributed by dropping change in donation boxes near the registers at the Kearney and Lincoln locations.

“Our namesake, Freddy Simon, served during World War II, and we are truly grateful for all that our service members do to keep this country safe,” said Alex Carney, franchise principal.  “Our Cars & Custard events serve as an opportunity to give back and pay tribute to our local veterans and active duty military.”
