GALLUP, N.M. – Fast-casual restaurant franchise, Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers, opens Tuesday, June 6 at 1300 W. Maloney, Ste. 1 near Rio West Mall. It marks a second northwestern New Mexico site for the retro-style concept, which has a location in Farmington.
“We’re looking forward to bringing Freddy’s better-burger concept to the Rio West Mall area,” said Ken Brock, franchise operator. “Our open kitchen allows you to watch us smash, sear, season and add toppings to your burger, right before you receive your order hot and fresh.”
The 3,200 square-foot, freestanding restaurant seats 90 guests and has additional seating on the patio. Drive-thru service is also available. Hours of operation are Sunday through Thursday 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Friday and Saturday 10:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. Menu items for Freddy’s include lean ground beef steakburgers, Vienna Beef hot dogs and crispy shoestring fries, as well as dessert treats prepared with a choice of chocolate or vanilla frozen custard that is churned fresh throughout each day.
“A Freddy’s experience is complete only after you’ve tried our frozen custard,” said Brock. “We have a variety of tasty options suitable for guests of all ages, whether it’s a Signature Turtle Sundae for mom and dad or a Dirt ’n Worms Concrete for the kids.”
