TOPEKA, Kan. – Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers®, a fast-casual restaurant concept, opens Wednesday, Jan. 1, at 2135 SW Gage Blvd. The opening marks a second location for Freddy’s, joining the restaurant at 1050 SW Wanamaker Rd. Freddy’s is known for its cooked-to-order steakburgers made with lean 100 percent ground beef, Vienna® Beef hot dogs, crispy shoestring fries and frozen custard treats made with freshly churned chocolate or vanilla frozen custard.
“Our teams work hard to provide a relaxing environment in the restaurant, focusing on cleanliness and quality service,” said Ron Oberg, franchise owner. “We hope to be a convenient dining option for those who live and work in the area, as well as for college students and staff from Washburn looking for a quick place to eat before or after class.”
The 2,552 square-foot, freestanding restaurant seats 80 guests and has additional seating on the patio. Drive-thru service is also available. Hours of operation are 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 10:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
“With the opening of a second Freddy’s in Topeka, we’re prepared to serve guests with the same friendly service and great taste they’ve come to love at our Wanamaker Road location,” said Oberg. “When you visit us, you can expect a warm greeting and to experience genuine hospitality the ‘Freddy’s Way.’”
