The wait is over for those anticipating the Pensacola arrival of Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers.
Tuesday will mark the grand opening of Freddy’s, a fast-casual chain restaurant that will call home a 3,112-square-foot building at 9002 Pensacola Blvd.
The location is just north of the Pensacola Boulevard Walmart and the Palafox Square Shopping Mall, and just south of East Nine Mile Road.
Freddy’s claims to fame are its cooked-to-order steakburgers, its Vienna beef hot dogs, shoestring French fries and frozen custard treats made with freshly churned chocolate or vanilla frozen custard.
“Our restaurant atmosphere hints at retro, reminiscent of the late 1940s and early 1950s,” said franchise owner Gary Grewe in a company press release. “Values of unity and quality family time from that postwar era are the foundation of our concept, but we mix in modern day conveniences like digital menu boards to create a dining experience that’s timeless and comfortable for guests of all ages.
